Augusta employees help give veterans a place to call home
Employee Volunteers from Solvay Augusta have joined others in the community to work on Avery House in downtown Augusta, Georgia. The Avery House for homeless veterans in the Augusta area is owned by the Bright Eyes Veterans Housing Initiative.
The Bright Eyes Veterans Housing Initiative is a non-profit organization that renovates and manages affordable housing in the Central Savannah River Site (SRS) region to serve low- to moderate-income veterans in the Augusta, Georgia area. Bright Eyes provides safe and affordable housing, enables veterans to pursue their interests, and brings new life into the community through neighborhood revitalization and stabilization projects.
