West Deptford employees team up to clean up in Camden County
Solvay West Deptford employees teamed up with the South Jersey Land and Water Trust (SJLWT) to clean up sections of Camden County, New Jersey. Twenty-five Solvay employees volunteered their time to work together during the beautification effort organized by Nick Klein, the site’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Supervisor.
The SJLWT periodically works with companies to organize clean-up events for areas of Camden County. "The SJLWT representative attending the event appeared to be very impressed with the cleanup", Leesa added.
SJLWT, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, works to preserve and protect farmland, open space, and critical habitats within several South Jersey counties. SJLWT also assists landowners and municipalities in the often-complicated farmland and open space preservation process.

"Volunteers did an outstanding job cleaning two large sections of Camden in such a short amount of time. SJLWT members said they would notify the Mayor of Camden and other public officials about our team’s participation in this effort and that they look forward to involving our site in future projects."
